Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Regional Counterattacks.

Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations across the region in response for a significant and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any impact is unclear and the American officials has not commented.

Regional Interceptions

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on sites linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

Additional Developments

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with high efficiency and destroyed a number of missiles," it added.

It said wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
